[Help] Recommended Programs for newly reformatted Vista64
Hello all.
I've recently formatted and reinstalled Vista64.

Winamp (Music, Video),
Rocketdock (Launcher),
7Zip (File Manager),
Firefox (Please don't get into a browser war. I want to use Firefox)
Photoshop for image management (I legally own all of CS3)
Foxit PDF (PDF Reader),
OpenOffice.org (Office Programs)
uTorrent (BitTorrent client)
Fileshredder (File Deletion)
Toribash 3.88 (Duh)
Daemontools Light (Mounting and assorted other things)

Things that have been suggested that I have no use for:
Other Browsers
Other Media Players
Steam

What programs do you put on your newly installed computer?
Thanks

Windows 7.

not trolling.

also tbh something like songbird would be better than winamp. I like having autodownloaded album art, lyrics, and a slick interface to tie it together.

Vlc media player for video and such that songbird doesnt cover.

Openoffice.org for documents and such, replaces microsoft office handily.

Foxit PDF reader, a light, fast pdf reader.

If you're in school, Evernote, is extremely useful.

And to wrap things up, notepad++, and never go back to the default notepad ever again.

HTH.

Firefox FTW!
Anyways, I recommend a program called CCleaner. Its really cool, and clears up some HD space. Im sure youll be surprised at all the wasted space you have laying around.
Do you have an Anti-virus program?
Thanks.
I run Avira Antivir.
It's a pretty good free antivirus.
Also, I think I'll get Crapcleaner when I need it.
I used it extensively before I formatted.

File Shredder is a far better alternative to simply deleting files. It frees up more space and makes the files nearly irretrievable.

Agreed

Foxit PDF reader, a light, fast pdf reader.

If you're in school, Evernote, is extremely useful.

Again, agreed.

HTH.

Mars;
1. WMP is still terrible. It runs an IE6 engine inside of it for filebrowsing, connects online for no reason, and does lots of annoying things otherwise.

2. Read my first post. Don't recommend other browsers, I have my reasons for using Firefox.

3. OS is also non-negotiable.
