When I go to play multiplayer I see 44 servers listed.
When my bro a few blocks away logs onto multiplayer he sees only 30.
It's a bit odder than that.

Mine displays completely different servers after server 15 or so. And sometimes we can log on to the same server and see no one else one there, or see different groups of people even though we are on the same server at the same time.

Any ideas on what the problem is?



On an unrelated note, Wtf is up with so many of the shop items being set at impossible prices? IE 300,000 toricreds or 1500 creds and 15,000 Qi?

This might be due to the Western/Eastern servers running different game lobbies at the same time. One of you might be accessing one and the other may well be on the other. However, I'm just speculating. Kai-Tiger will almost certainly know what's up, or someone else might.


The items you're talking about are probably the most elite ones - Demon and Pure. Dragon and Quicksilver are also particularly expensive. I wouldn't say that "so many" of the items cost this much, but some do cost a lot. To feasibly get them, you'll have to invest in Toriboosters or some raw credits.

Make sure you both login to the server that has the same IP address. The name of the server might be different before the server is refreshed.

Also, we updated the servers list in recent versions, so one of you might have an older version.

I tend to see different servers to other people .. then i realised i was about 5 versions behind everyone else lol

I suggest both of you download the same version of Toribash.

Methinks Tori version seems a likely candidate. But I haven't had time to test yet. Accessing different server zones doesn't seem to make sense, what with our close proximity. I hadn't notices a server zone option if there is one.

Our server list was synched up (We saw the same ones and had no issues) from the beggining and a week or two back I noticed my server list had jumped from 30 to 44. Tori doesn't auto update in any compacity (To my knowledge atleast) and Neither he nor I have updated manually.

It's a bit of a odd situation.





I can understand some having difficult to reach prices, so if someone has one it's recognized a status/dedication to tori/money to waste symbol. Head texture being a prime example. But some are just downright impossible. A few of them even the richest tori folk couldn't, or could barely afford.

Just open up Toribash then look in the top left for the version say .. "Toribash 3.06" then open up Toribash on your brothers computers.

OR

both of you just download the latest version of Toribash

We downloaded Tori from the same place at the same general time, So we should have the same version. So it shouldn't have changed on it's own.

I haven't been able to get ahold of him to check and be sure. Version seems a good bet, but I just can figure out why our versions would differ. Mine seemed to have auto updated, at least the server list that is.


And we aren't literally blood brothers, but we might as well be.

Brothers in arms seems a more proper term.

ok guys as u have heard this is because of different versions of toribash and server glitches

a few ways to solve this is

1: Restart toribash
2: check for the latest toribash version and update (if u have to)
3: ask ur friend for the ip and port number next to the server name and type /co 250.233.255.1:207 <<<<< the real ip and port there

Where did that comment come from? We are also not sure if the problem is the version yet.

I would really just recommend you download the latest version on both computers, because .. different computers, different settings = differences in Toribash being auto updated or not.

You can also give your brother your servers.txt in your main Toribash directory and tell him to put it in his main Toribash directory, overwriting his old one.

It's only like 1kb, just e-mail it to him or something, that way you will both have the same servers.

Methinks its version that is the problem. But I just cant figure out why version would be an issue, we downloaded the same version and neither of us have updated manually.
I'm sure the answer to the problem is in one of y'alls posts, I just haven't been able to get ahold of him to try and fix it yet.
