So i started working on this about 30 minutes ago with gimp and have run into a slight snag.

I don't know how to shade it




This is my first texture ever so give some cc please!

there isnt some magical technique to shading, it just takes practise.
shade with your mouse in shades of grey exactly like theyve done on the reference picture
zoom function would be your friend with this

i dont know if you have seen it on a tori yet so




maybe make the mouth smaller, teeth bigger and a little grin would be nice

epic face! make it a spinny or people will take it

Head is nice but seems a eye 6/10

You might wanna try {This} method out for shading first. If you have Photoshop CS4 that is. Just add lighter/darker shades of the original color where they should be, in this case that would be a darker trim around the white parts.

Well the mouth has gotten smaller which made it better.

I like it, if they ever fix bump mapping then this head would be great!

I added a bit of shading but since i only have the 128x128 it's kind of dissapeared :|

How much would you say this would go for if I auctioned it off?
I'm saving up for the 512x512.
