Setup > Options > tick shaders.

If it doesnt work, your hardware cannot handle shaders.

yeah, if it doesnt work, go buy a graphics card, i would suggest the ati radeon 4670 or anything above it. i use the 4670 and run the shaders with raytracing at 60 fps

note it could be a driver issue, please tell us your graphics card name and number
