HTOTM: FUSION
Original Post
internet messing up
randomly when i go to a different page, click on a link, or something like that, it will sometimes say "could not locate remote server", but if i refresh several times, it will eventually work

im pretty sure its not my connection as i'm playing games, and if the internet connection was turning off then so would my game, but thats not the case

also, at random times when i click on a link or go to a different page a seperate tab that has the website "search.google.analysys" or something like that (its not exactly that)

also, no matter how many times i refresh on malwarebytes.org it doesnt let me on just saying "cannot connect to remote server", which leads me to think its a virus or something like that
OS and web-browser?

I'd recommened downloading google's chrome and checking if you have the same problems, also if you think you have a virus you can allways try spybot search and destroy, which is a good free warez destroyer.
is there a way to just take everything off and make it like it is new out of the box? with the os i have now atleast

i cant figure out a way to fix it, it doesnt let me go to any website with an antivirus
I think it might be a DNS problem (if you're not infected)... You can try using OpenDNS instead:

DNS1: 208.67.222.222
DNS2: 208.67.220.220

I suggest everyone to use OpenDNS too, if you think your internet is too slow lately. That *might* help.

the openDNS helped for now, but i have a feeling that something will happen again
my computer has been acting up for the past couple of weeks

after the dns thing, i did a malwarebytes scan and it found 3 virus files/keys ect

its found different things every time i have scanned so far, what can i do to get rid of it
You should do a few things to protect your self:

1: Make sure your OS is up to date, update it if needed.
2: If you have XP it's worth considering upgrading to windows 7, which is much more secure.
3: Change to a secure browser, Google's Chrome browser has been desmonstrated to be the most secure browser, by Pwn2Own.
4: Get a good antivirus tool, such as NOD32 to run a good scan. If you need free antivirus then I'd recommend Spybot Search and Destroy.
5: Avoid percariouse downloads.

I agree with everything you said except for the last part of your no 4 argument. Spybot Search & Destroy is not a "free antivirus", and even its active protection (called TeaTimer) can't be considered an antivirus. Its a good antispyware though, just not enough to cover most threats usually covered by antiviruses.

For a good free antivirus I recommend one of these on the list: http://forum.toribash.com/showthread.php?t=200380 , plus ClamAv as a complementary scanner.

Yes, technicaly i'm wrong, however it is good at cleaning up a mess once you've made it :P

Personaly I recommend no active scanner as they slow everything down far too much, I'd prefer to upgrade to windows 7 and use google chrome than waste all my power on a run time scanner.
