So I want to restore my comp back to its factory settings. Basically anytime I play a game (Tf2/L4D2/WoW) I lag bad, when I shouldnt be lagging this bad. I also like to do this every now and then to clean the gunk out.

My specs are

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9000 @ 2.00GHz
6.0 GB RAM
ATI display adapter (0x9480), which is an ATI Mobility 4650 Radeon I believe. (Yes it's a laptop)

So when I go to System Restore, I can only go back about a month, which is a problem. I was wondering if there are any other ways to system restore my comp back to its earlier date, besides CDs (I have some, that I personally made, but I don't think I made 'em correctly, I did it in a bit of rush).

If it matters, my laptop is an HP.
