They don't show your belt in single player(free play) since your belt means nothing in SP.

Ranks are judged on the amount of Qi (Games Played) you have. It is judged by belt and not by overall ranking. For example there is a rank 1 white belt, and a rank 1 black belt. I think this answers what you asked =P.
