I've decided that I'm finally going to buy myself a head texture now that I have my QS force and vamp lax. Here's the head i'm working on to go with it:

Edits: Improved the headband and and the hair, lowered everything to improve the mapping I hope.

Its my first humanoid/emo head also.

Looks great, but the headband doesn't seem too giid. There does not need to be that much shading between the headband and the hair. Also, the headband doesn't have have the same width when it is tied up, and when it is running across the hair.

I like though, don't get me wrong.

face should be more down
hair should be remade, make the spikes more thin and less detail maybe
headband needs shade
eyes are just ugly like this, make them bigger

3.Bad vector shading on the hair

Lower the eyes and hair,make the eyes bigger and lower the headband and shade it. Also when vector shading the hair use thinner and curvier lines.

But as for the hair, you took dengue's C&C too literally. I think the spikes look bad being that thin.

With the hair i'm just messing around with different styles. I've got the big spikes on top, with the little ones poking underneath... Maybe if i switched the underlayer to something more intermediate?

Hmm, you do have the little spikes under. Maybe you delete some of the under spikes and add them in with the top layer of hair.
