You need to have a primary gradient and a secondary one for it to work.
If you only jave a secondary gradient, it has nothing to blend with.

You can usually purchase some cheap secondary for under 30TC at the trade center. An FAQ or something said they may fix this in the next version, so if you dont want to buy a secondary wait until the next version.
