Stealth Camouflage ?
I don't know guys if you played Metal Gear Solid 4... Well Snake had an Octocamo that let him go like invisible. =P

Well I was doing some searches about technology nowadays and find out there is a researcher called Naomi Halas (Naomi like MGS =D) that will study to emulate nature's camouflage masters, squids/octopus.

If u are interested, the name of the Project is called Project Squid Skin
You can find information here http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releas...-nss120910.php.
=)
I thought they already had a similar suit that wasn't squid skin, it's design is like this

Jumpsuit, Nano cameras, and Nano screens.

When you turn on the suit the cameras take the image that it is looking at and applies it to the suit. So if you were standing against a tiled wall or something. The cameras facing towards the tiled wall will will show the image in front of the suit. Making the front and sides of the suit look like tiles, not very effective in urban ware fare, but jungle war fare. A marksman would be devastating.

But where do you get that info? or you just think that?
Get what info? It's cameras all of the info goes through the camera and the image comes out at the opposite side of the suit.

I think I've seen it on Daily Planet. The suit was still in prototype, obviously, but the suit it self looked decent, it just needs better definition as the background was like infinitely more sharper than the image the suit can produce.
This isn't even about being camouflaged. It's about being able to see and sense light the way the camoflage masters do, and how they react to the envrionment.

Being camoflaged could be a side effect, but not the main goal.

Never heard of... I thought they would made something like that, but never looked for it. =S

When they finish this investigation i'm sure they will start to seek the secrets of camouflages.
"What can we, as engineers, learn from the way these animals perceive light and color?"

u are right it's not the main goal... i misunderstood a word, my english is not perfect. =(
