right click on it from my computer then click properties and click the security tab.
under group or user names click on your user group (should be administrators) and bottom right click advanced
there should be a list of tabs, one says "owner"
click that tab and click edit underneath the list of names
if your account name shows up click it,check "replace owner on subcontainers and objects" and click apply
if it does not show up on that list click other users or groups and enter your account name in the box and click ok. once your name shows up on the list do the above step and you should have ownership of your device.
this also works with hdd's and folders that you don't have access to on your computer.
