Was messing around in GIMP and came up with this.
Nothing real good, just wanted to share it with you all.

Too much overlay, should have focused more on the cracks. And been more creative with whats underneath it. Kinda looks like red hair or something of torn skin. And it looks a bit cartoonish, maybe a bit of smudge and blending to make it subtle.

If u had put muscle tissue under and tooth showing it would look really scary. That would made it real. Right now it looks like she is a painting that got peeled. Maybe u wanted that?
