It can be any size you like, im not forcing you to do it the way i did it, just use it as a guide

The most easiest way to get good lookin blendy swirlies...

if you want to render a flame go to filters/render/nature/flame

Sorry for double post but to get swirl go into the flame tool and on top there should be a edit button, go up to that, then once your in that there should be a drop down list on the bottom, then click "swirl"
