Alienware M11x or M15x
Here's the low down. I WANT A LAPTOP. I know fully that I can build a pc for half the price and all. Anyways I don't know what to go for. My desired parts are: The I7 quad core with 6mb cache, The 460x by NVIDIA, 8 gb's of ram, standard cd drive, 500 gb hard drive 7600 rpm.

Using the customization option at the Alienware website, the two computers end up costing about the same. So here's my question: Which one would end up being better for a heavy gamer as myself? Which one would I get the most performance out of?
If anyone owns one of the two please give your thoughts.

AGAIN! DO NOT TELL ME TO BUY A PC OR CUSTOMISE A PC!

the m11x is really small, just go for the 15x in my opinion. How much are you going to pay, because you might as well go to newegg and find something similar.

I have the m11x, and it does everything i need to it to very well. I'd say it depends on how mobile you want it to be

Yeah, I only don't like erthtkv2 because of the mod's name. Make it "tkv2," and the mod will instantly become more popular. This is a valid reason as the name of the mod is still an important feature that no one seems to have yet discussed.
15" is huge.

Go with the 11" and then hook it up to a monitor when at home (which will be better quality than the 15" screen anyway). Better yet, if you have a big tv then hook it up to that. Gaming is fun on a 52".

Also, if you are just a gamer then i7 is not necessary, neither is 8gb of ram. You would do better with 4gb of ram and an i5 then use the extra money to get an SSD to install your OS on, so you can get fast boot times and if you play some games a lot, put them on the SSD to further increase your speeds.

I knew about SSD's and wouldn't playing it on a 52" screen kinda murder the GPU? About the RAM, I'll compromise with 6gb, and about the processor, I'm doing more than gaming.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP! =]

I don't understand. Was that a statement or a question.

Works fine for me ;)

6gb is not good, it's asymmetrical (that is probably bad). Just look at the prices and see which is better value to you ;)
