Is anyone here actually religious?
I'm not. I don't really care. Sure, it instills morals in our youth and stuff, but I personally think that we should let our youth choose what they're comfortable with after giving them the facts, and introducing them to the culture. I won't take my children to church. Unless my wife decides to be a sheep. I guess I'll conform. Anyways, what do you guys think about religion? I want to know so I can decide whether I'm comfortable or not presenting Christian satire.

Thanks.
Satire all you want, but to be frank, I really don't think I could ever be with somebody who was a sheep, certainly never marry them.
Assuming of course you're using the word sheep the way I think you are.
oh yeah
Sweet.

And yeah, I'm using it subordinately. Life throws you twists, man. I've been in some pretty unexpected relationships. One of my closest chick friends is of Christ, but I don't mind her company. I actually sort of envy the fact that she can look past fact and/or logic, and believe in something bigger. That's just looking at the cup half-full, though.
Thanks.
More than likely i'd never marry someone who's religion doesn't make sense, or is so easily disproven or doesn't have even mediocre evidence. But of course, there's always going to be a twist where it doesn't matter to me, like their always is.
lolwut XD

I don't know. I have a small deposit of faith in me, and I cerntainly don't mind what religion anyone believes in. I think I could stand to hang out with a mormon, or a scientologist, as long as they didn't keep preaching it to me, I'd like to think they would leave me be in that respect.

If I ever have kids, I'd take them to church until they were about 7-8. By then the message has sunk in and doesn't require repeat exposure.
My seniority means you should probably just agree with everything I say
I've been an atheist since forever. when I was 5 my grandma forced me to church. I thought it was bullshit. They tried to make us sing. I sat the fuck down and didn't move.
Actually to be honest, I don't really like athiests. Seems a bit more like a fad that people do merely because others do it.

As for me, I never really bought into the "higher being" although I often found the stories quite fascinating. You had giants, people dieing everywhere and failing swim tests. What I got from going to church was basically "be a nice person"

That's all. Also half the athiests I know are knobs, but only half.

darn it, tags won't work.
