Gradients are not working?
so, I have gradients on, but they are not showing up ingame. is this a problem with my system or what?
It's most likely not a problem with your system.
1) Be sure the gradients are activated
2) Go to single player
3) Type in ''/dl Sunny'' (without the quotes)
4) After it says "Download Complete" in the chatlines, type in "/lp 0 Sunny" (without the quotes)
5) If you don't want to do steps 2-4, you can just play a few matches in multiplayer to download your items automatically.

*Either way, your gradients should show up after completing these steps.
BAD LUCK

tried this before I posted this actually, I figured it was a widestream problem.
That's peculiar.
I downloaded and loaded your items, and I can see your gradients perfectly (toxic primary gradient and aqua secondary gradient).

Be sure you did steps 1-4.
If it still doesn't work, do step number 5.

*What version of toribash are you using?
BAD LUCK
I recommend using the stable 3.9 version.

Anyway, if you replace the contents of your item.dat with the following code, it should be ok.

If you used to have textures make sure you've deleted the texture files in custom.

replaced the item.dat with the code to no avail. I figure I'll just downgrade my toribash. strangely enough, I can still see others' gradients.

I didn't, but I did muck around with my custom folder to see if that would do anything.
Right. Have you tried deleting the entire custom folder and then play a game or two online? I really can't understand how this isn't working, the only solution I can think of is deleting it, as I suspect the folder might be set to read-only or something that has the same effect.

the entire custom folder as in my personal folder, or all of them? 'cause I've already tried that many times. if the folder was set to read-only wouldn't there be a way that I could undo that?
