why a 6670? 128bit ftl
why an i3? core2duo ftl
why a SSD? expensive ftl.
8gb ram seems a bit overkill for that.

the overall price works out similar to what i paid for my pc, but the 2 dont look like they can compare, and i know i could have made some better choices on my stuff...

You could have posted in the at-least 24 hours before he bought it :| You could also be more helpful, this is just one big "Your choices suck", you never point out any better parts, also Core2Duo's are not the same as i3-2-100's, they are two generations older, and the core i3-2 beats them in performance, you really didn't look at this at all.

Detailed counter complaints:
6670: We based it on the good price and good performance, in the end that's the only way you can pick a good graphics card in my opinion, I also speced it out specifically to the screen size I expected may0 to be using from his descriptions.
i3 2100: This is better than core2duos, read up on processor branding :| Yes it only has 2 cores, but it beats quite a few 4 core AMD's for games, which was the requested aim of the computer, many articles are detailed in how a super powered CPU is not needed for games.
SSD: Solid State Drives seriously reduce load and boot times, It's nice for a gamer to not have to wait while the game loads it's next cut scene, or in the case of valve games, while they load the background to the menu (that always irritated me), I chose it for the raw performance.

As you can see, the Core2 Duo brand was Penryn, now we are on sandy bridge, Core i3 2100's are sandy bridge, you can not assume it's the same thing because it has 2 cores, to do so is to be two generations off, this is something I'd be seriously embarrassed about if I said. You are not going to find a single credible source that references the i3 2100 as a core 2 duo.

To clarify:
Core2 (Duo/Quad), Core i(3/5/7), Core i2(3/5/7)

i assumed you knew the alternate options for parts, so i didnt bother.
and they werent random "your choices suck" posts, i was actually curious, cus they seemed like pretty unusual choices from you.
the comments after my questions where just oppinions.

i know the i3's are better than the c2d's but theyr still the same kind of thing, you know what i mean. i just find that intel stuff is overpriced for its performance, Im still a big fan of the newish phenom II's.

the 128bit graphics cards really feel pretty average, my 5770 just lacks in so many ways. inb46670isnewer. the 5770 still goes for more than the 6670.
you always seemed like a diehard 460 fan.

and the SSD thing, well thats a choice thing. no doubt theyr good, just a bit pricey. HDD speeds have never been much of an issue to me, so ya...

and i only noticed this now because i havent looked in a while.
anyway, the pc will perform well, no point in dragging a discussion out

Oh right then I missunderstood some of your post, my bad, but still, Core2duos and i3's are not at all the same, I wont bore you with a monologue of how they are different, sufficed to say the performance chart results show the difference.

I disagree that intel are bad for price to performance, my own investigations put them as better at price/performance than AMD typically, they just have very few lower price products.

Sure, typically I'd say 560 Ti (since the 460 is now outdated), but the 6670 is half the price, maybe you would have gone for no SSD and swap out the 6670 for a 560 Ti or such, but I find this makes a more balanced build, 6670's and 5770's are similar in performance, and not too different in overall 'newness', Obviously out of the two I went for the 6670 because it's newer, but over all the reason I chose it is because it best fits one screen size up from the specified screen size may0 gave me, I figure that's a good way to get a graphics card.

It's a nice assumption that I know all parts ever , I'm flattered, all joking aside I do appreciate alternatives when my ideas are said to be wrong or challenged :P
