How do you feel regarding the "throwing" strategy in Sambo servers?
I've recently noticed a wave of players in Sambo doing a particular move as they contract their hips and pecs, and grab the opponent. The next turn they'll extend their body and end up tossing the opponent out of the ring. So far I've seen that this ends up killing most Sambo servers I play in, as the victor uses this strategy as his or her only form of winning, and ends up spamming this move. This isn't a problem if used once in a while, but one person spamming this move is such a ridiculous act that ruins a server.
Just practice. The "contract pecs + contract hips" move isn't really that good.

But, I don't really like the so called shovel moves. Sure, they are alright to do once in a while, but I hate when people overuse them. But yeah, there is a counter for almost every move, even if it's sometimes hard to find.

The move is kinda hard to counter if you are new to the game, and thats what makes a little bit more experienced players spam this move.

By lowering your center of gravity, this makes the user of that move throw himself out backwards, because you are closer to the ground, you have nowhere to be thrown.
yeah, one good counter could be to grab their legs, then they cant lift you properly.

Also, with some practice, you could twist in the initial turns - which in itself makes it harder for your opponent to lift you - and then drop to the ground nearer a dojo edge and throw them over you. That kind of push has a fair bit of forward momentum as well as lift - you can use this to your advantage.
"Call yourself alive? I promise you you'll be deafened by dust falling on the furniture,
you'll feel your eyebrows turning to two gashes, and your shoulder blades will ache for want of wings."
There is a replay somewhere that "twist" counters the Shovelling attempt

And what are you doing? You contract pecs and raise arms. You spam pushes, I spam throws. Is there really a problem with that? Sorry for making the game interesting.
Throws require much more skill and are actually raising YOUR chances of winning. It's more likely for me to win with a push then with a throw.
Oblivion: that wasn't hilarious
