You know the kind with the rope pulleys. I always thought you just got lucky if they would go down or not after you pulled and released. So it would take about 50 times to get them all the way down. Then today, my dad was like you're doin it wrong lol, pull to the left to release, and pull to the right to lock. My mind was blown.

Doesnt work for me. Instead it just goes down. All I did was pull on the left and it went down going left then I pulled the right rope and it evened it out.

Different blinds - different methods I guess...

I mean pull them both. When you pull both of them to the center or to the right it'll lock in place when you stop pulling. When you pull them from the left they'll start to lower when you release the rope. This is assuming that the ropes are on the right, they may be different for the left, idk. All I know is that these new blinds do it, and apparently our old blinds did it too. But try that, and tell me how it goes!

Because they've worked that way for as long as I can remember, and it's not that hard to figure out.

Mine are different, like it has the same lock/release system, but you gotta pull the blind down as you release it.

I found that out last year lol.

It takes a special kind of person to not be able to use blinds.
