Spiral Knights (Free to play on Steam)

(Click for link to it's website)

Spiral Knights is a top-down MMO adventure game in which you venture through various levels fighting monsters of all kinds. You get items by crafting them from recipes, or from buying them from the Auction House. The better items you have, the harder the levels get.

This video shows the starting area, and basic gameplay.

elsewhere
I think I might reinstall it again, I was just too lazy to find out how to do stuff.
It was great though, not many games are made like this anymore, even though the gameplay can get repetitive afterwards it is still a great game and surprisingly original, which is a big plus considering all the "click & wait" MMO's out there.

So get new teammates, the game is fairly popular. Many people play it.
Even my older brother who stopped playing videogames a while ago.

Yep I play this and I like it. My name on it is Azba.

Still, I don't like how SEGA/Three Rings seems to be trying to force people into buying CE (crystal energy) so they can do anything past tier 2. Recipes for 4 star items cost 400 energy (that's 100 mist plus 15000c worth of CE) which means maybe 3 solid days of Royal Jelly runs and then wasting your 4th day's playing time to make 1 piece of equipment... and don't forget you have to buy the recipe first which costs over 10,000c usually. So that's another 2 days of Royal Jelly.

The recently added "Unbinder" vendor in the bazaar is ridiculous - 100 energy to unbind a 1 star item which won't sell for anything near as much as it costs for 100 CE.

On the plus side, with the new unbinder dude and variants dude around, crystal energy prices have gone down to around 5000c
