My dad got an old projector from work a long time ago from one of the arcade games since it was broke. This is the model http://www.projectorcentral.com/ViewSonic-PJ500.htm . The only thing wrong with it is that there's a green-yellowish tint so that sucks for any kind of movie/tv watching. It's a problem with the lcd, so no fixing it.

Anyway, besides any kind of movie watching, what are some cool things to do with it?


I saw how to use a wiimote too make a touchscreen whiteboard which seems cool, and I tried making it. I got an infrared led from an old dvd remote, and wired it to a double A. It didn't look very bright so I started using 2 double As instead. I then installed the software and was able to calibrate it, but once calibrated I wasn't able to get it to move the mouse or anything. If I had calibrated it badly by just waving the pen around anywhere, then when I shone the led it would make the mouse move sporadically. After a little bit of trying to get it to work the makeshift led pen stopped working :<. I assume 2 batteries was too much for it and the led broke. As soon as I find something else I can tear apart an infrared led from, I'll try again :P Perhaps someone can tell me how to properly use an led, haha.

Point it at your neighbor's house, that'll get some laughs.
Other than that, I honestly wouldn't know.
