Building a new PC...
Hey Guys,

I am going to be building a new PC later in the year, as my laptop is absolutely crap at everything...

My budget will be in the region of Ѓ700-Ѓ800...

I was just wondering what components are the best in their price range, just as advice?

CPU: Im looking to spend no more than Ѓ175 here, im looking at the Phenom II X6 3.3GHz, the X4 3.4GHz, or the intel i5-2500k sandy bridge @ 3.4GHz) The intel is far more expensive so im not too sure, but AMDs new bulldozers are coming out soon, are they worth a look?

GPU: I dont know what to get here too much. Im looking to spend no more than Ѓ200 here, Ѓ220 if i have to, but im looking at the GTX 460 (and variations of it) or similar. It seems a solid GPU for the Ѓ160 price tag. Suggestions welcome on everything here too.

Case: Im not bothered about this, no point in spending too much on this. Having lights is pretty but not that important. I just want a good quality case, good room for cooling and air flow, and easy to get to components for upgrades.

RAM: I dont want to spend too much here, no more than Ѓ70 but i want 8GB very least, 12GB ideally...

Monitor: I want a 24" ideally (what size would you say is fine?) and an LED, but LED ones seem far more expensive than LCD. Whats the difference/are they worth the price? Ideally under Ѓ150 here.

Keyboard and mouse dont really matter too much.

Windows 7 64bit

Thats it really... (of course there are other things like the PSU and motherboard, but they arent what im worried about. But feel free to suggest these too and offer advice.)

So yeah, advice would be helpful and your opinions highly valued!
Ive even seen people building PCs for people, like finding all the parts in the price range, that would be welcome too!

Take note: Im from the UK, so no Newegg
Idealy Overclockers, Novatech, or sokmething like Amazon.co.uk

Thank you!
Firstly, talk in USD, this is an international forums after all.

You do not need an x6, x4 is plenty. Make sure to get fuson/sandy bridge. 3< is plenty for an x4, I really doubt you will need all of it, but since you did not say what you want to use the computer for I can't pass judgement.
I would say 560s are the best value GPU right now, but they are $70 more than a 460. I would recommend it though. However, remember the GPU choke point principal, right now games are held back by the 5 year old technology that consoles (xbox360 and PS3) are using, so if you buy even something as low as a 450, you would not have a problem.
As for RAM, I would be surpised if you need more than 4, but since it is averaging ~$8 per gb, why not get 8...
You don't need LED, all LED does is have a slightly higher contrast ratio really. LCD is fine for you. Grab whatever you can cheaply, I honestly don't care too much about monitor brands. The only thing to take in to account is if it is HD, etc. If you get a 560 then you have a HDMI output so a HD monitor can be put to good use. Check the GPU you are getting and then get a monitor that has DVI-D/VGA/HDMI respectively. Of course you can just get adapters, but it is better to be native.
I personally suggest a Logitech mouse, they are the most hardy and solid. As for keyboards, I would suggest Logitech too, especially if you opt for wireless (Logitech marathon wireless runs for 3 years without battery change). Check the /v/ peripheral guides.
W7 64, yes.
Be sure not to skimp money on a shit PSU, or it will destroy your other nice components.

Abide by the guide image in the link, it is made by someone who knows a lot more than you and I.
