Well I have no idea about head phones and what would be a good type to get. My price range is $50 and I am looking for some which would be great for blocking out noises and are just over all great.

I believe sony makes a decent enough pair starting at around 45$. But I don't know where you live, what music you like, or preferences at all. What I'm getting at is defining what makes headphones good is kind of hard.
