okay so
I'm going to use the new manpower for ideas.
I've just started the task of rebuilding my site. The old (current) version is just a programming-dedicated forum with like 3 members who bother visiting and like 2 who post. I would very much like to see more traffic.

What I'm doing is taking the concept of hackthissite.org (where I was/probablystillam a developer) and aiming it at a generally programming/mathematics-oriented audience (although there will be sections and stuff for pretty much everybody as the need arises).

What I need is some ideas. What do you look for in a website? What makes you want to come back? What do you really want a website to do for you that no other website does? Is there a feature that a website does have that you think could be improved upon? At the moment, it's going to be a simple Articles/Blogs/Challenges/Forum package (all completely custom-built) with an IRC network (that's already up and I'll probably be integrating some form of stats page for it on the site).

ANY INPUT APPRECIATED EVEN IF IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO IMPLEMENT
Sorry bro, I know nothing of either programming, or forums (other then this here toribash place and maybe a little of the bay 12 forum), and I'm assuming the rest of the clan are either the same, or just lazy D:
oh yeah
