Well since the rule is 3 years before the name can be taken, I doubt many people would remember their info.
But as far as I know, the old account gets renamed to "username_old" or "username-old", and I'm assuming the password stays the same.

All the ones I've seen have been either "-old" or usually "_old".

I have no idea. You can always make a new account. But I doubt the people that payed 100k would be very happy if they had to give up their names.
