Most RAM today, you'll find in sticks of 2G. You should search around on Amazon or Newegg for RAM sticks. Kingston, OCZ,and Corsair, are usually some pretty good brands.

most computers have 2gb at the least, I would recommend at least 4gb for gaming. 8gb is not really necessary now days unless you do specialist things like use it as a cache for your HDD or use it as a HDD or do some very RAM heavy operations.
Modern servers have have over 200gb of RAM.

4gb should do it, but you'll need a decent graphics card 2..

Hmm, it takes up a couple of gb when you have 8gb ram aswell, so i would reccomend 4 gb like gorman said, and there is some decent gfx cards out there aswell for a fairly reasonable price, aslong you have Shader model 3.0 it wouldnt really matter though... if it is shaders you want.

Toribash wouldn't be that RAM heavy, 4gb would easily do it. Graphics card is more important.
