Ok ive ordered a MSI 8500 graphics card it will come around sunday

but will i need a new power box cause at moment i have 300W Power supply and is that enough to run the card?

Will it run games such as assasins creed , Call of duty 4?

Other specs on my pc:

3.06Ghz
1gig ram
Gigabyte S-Series Motherboard

That should be no problem, im on an ATI Radeon X800 with close to the same specs as you and im on a 250watt power supply, should work fine ;)

Call of Duty 4 isn't as costly as you think. Infact, I have a radeon X1650, and it runs at full settings with a frame rate of about 25, and doesn't even look as good as Xbox360. If you have a Radeon crossfire motherboard, or similar, you can use the Dual graphics card function, which will make it as good or better than the 360.

I dunno how good it is. I wish they had a universal system of numbers to tell, because the Radeon 9550 sucked.

Not great but its not too bad either

it supports DX10 wich is good, it will play all your new games like COD4 and Creed but wont perform as well as some of the newer cards out there

but all in all not a bad card

ye i know but im only buying it for R1000 which is around $120 so ye its a good buy for its price.....

my old ati radeo 9600 was working on cod 4 weeeeeeee

to run assassins creed you must had 256 or much mb card thats why bought geforce 8600 gts
but it was laggin at full graphyc on low too in that game is too many objects thats why

eh prob not most new games really need a dual core chipset to run on full settings, but you should still be able to set the graphics on high or medium settings but probably not full

but it is a good buy for what youre getting

but its not the graphics card thats limiting it, the graphics cards fine its your proccesor
