Its a nice thing you drew it with your feelings.
You seem a bit hurt by the look at that heart.
Am I right?

I like the realistic heart shape and the imaginary heart shape in the middle, pretty clever! ;p
Is it finished? It could do with some shading if you ask me.

Shading doesn't equal a better piece of art.
Art is about getting a message across.

Many people think the more details a piece has, the better it is.

I understand you say it could use some shading, because it could.
But then I'd have to do the entire piece in a different style,
since this is my heart I wanted to do it in a style I'm comfortable in.

I'm busy with a detailed art guide which I'll release shortly. That'll explain it some more.

You managed to show your feelings through art. That isn't something everyone can do. I admire you for being open about this. All I really need to say, is that she will be glad for it. Music might help.

I love the feel to it.

What I do not get is the Brightness at the top and the darkness at the bottom.


Might just be the light source.

I've used an orange glow at the top and a purple one at the bottom to make the piece more playful.
Small details like this give the piece a little bit of depth even though you hardly notice it.
Main idea behind it was warm vs cold though.

Personally i would have used a tad of blue to get cold vs warm feeling to it, but on other hand blue wouldn't fit a heart, but as this piece isn't realistic blue could have been used aswell, but that's up to you to decide either it could fit or not.
As an emotional piece it's not that important wether it's shaded or not, or if blue would be good or not, but just throwing that out aswell.
