Should've left it the way I edited the post. Most people are accustomed to the IMG tags. I would suggest increasing the contrast between the base color and the color of it's features. The only other thing I might suggest is to look at an example of something you like ( like a HD picture of a horned owl) and try to replicate the eye, or anything really. The alien could benefit from some brow lines. That's all I can think of this early.
