l4d2 crashes are fairly common and GOOGLE will usually have the appropriate fixxes in the top 2 or 3 suggested links.
try google the problem first, if google cant answer you, we generally wont be able to help.
if youre running vista, then there are 2 solutions:
1. do the CSC thing like google tells you to.
2. dont use vista.

Problem #8 : L4D2 always crashing randomly
Fix :
1. Close Steam
2. Go to ..\steam\steamapps\
3. Delete left 4 dead 2 common.ncf, left 4 dead 2 client.ncf
4. Restart Steam
5. Right Click L4D2 click Install
