I had the idea of reopening the Waffle Academy (with a few differences), and wanted to have a discussion on the pros and cons of it, and whether or not we should do so. I would like for everyone to try and give your thoughts on the matter.

I think it would be good, because it would give us the chance to scout new potential members, give us more activity in the clan, some fresh ideas for things every now and again. Also if we could expand the clan's specialties (i.e. from just aikido, and aikidobd to that plus wushu, judo, ninjutsu, etc.), and give us a wider variety of matches and skills.
On the other hand, there is the possible chance we recruit some fag who has a habit of being inact or being a dumbass and just take up space on the clan.

I would like for everybody to pitch in some thoughts, and if you want to see some of the change ideas I have, go to Chicken's pain in the arse thread, I don't feel like typing them with this Wii, it takes too long. I'll do it tomorrow when I'm at a computer. So let me know what you think!

sounds not that bad... imo we could also teach each other in this clan... I've some decent skills in Taekkyon but suck in most mods with high TF, I could teach TK but need to be tought in some other mods, for example.

But I think you meant that we teach some random guys, right ?

I meant EVERYONE (including exsisting members), and maybe in turn the people we pick up might teach us in their specialty if we're crap at it.

As I said in 'chicken's thread', worth thinking about but I won't be able to deal with it, in that case we'll 'academy ldr' or something.
Idea is nice etc, but what about recruitment? Who can join, who cannot, why?
Players considering theirself as 'good' wouldn't want to join academy and I don't really want to see 20 newbies with yellow belts with CW tag :C

Every "accademyfag" should be accepted at least by ninjors or higher rank.

Powas, you don't have to oversee it, we could get somebody else supervise everything that way you don't have to worry about anything. The only stipulation to them entering the Academy is by beating one of our ninjors (thanks chicken) atleast once out of three matches. Also only (10) Academy members allowed to be in at one time. After they enter they must stay active for atleast a month and a half. If they do so, they now must complete the tests that we design to prove their worthiness. If they complete all trials then they must go through our regular application process to become full members.
