So I saw this elsewhere and thought it was a pretty cool idea:

Given the opportunity, what one character would you become friends with if they were real? And why?

At the moment, I can think of one that really sticks out for me:

Knight Solaire of Astoria! From Dark Souls.
Why? JOLLY CO-OPERATION!


(also because he seems like a nice guy)

Other than that, Legion from ME2 seems pretty cool to me.
And Big Boss, because he's such a great motivational speaker and generally a really cool guy.

Kairi from Kingdom Hearts. Because I have always found her to be the ideal friend. Though I would mind a relo.

Uke. He takes alot of shit and doesn't get angry.

Sam Fisher from the Splinter Cell Series, I'd get him to teach me awesome self defense and how to kick some ass
