@Dose - you can run windows apps on linux through WiNE, and linux is free =P
@4zb41 - It's pretty simple to install and get used to (maybe try
Linux Mint, very simple and better than
Ubuntu imo) but meh, there is no major benefits over it than Windows for the average user, unless you're developing stuff or running a webserver there is no hugely compelling reasons to switch.
@Afropr0 - I agree with you there, Windows beats Linux in terms of gaming by quite a bit, though *nix is catching up slowly =P, hence why I duel boot Windows and Linux, Windows for gaming and Linux for coding/irc/porn.
