Will smoking send you to hell?
Well I just thought of this yesterday and, well, its bothering me.
As far as religion is concerned, suicide = you going to that dark hot place called hell. From what I have heard if you commit suicide you go to hell. Now Whats bothering me is "put yourself in this position". Youre a smoker, you chain smoke every day of your life, One day you get a phonecall...the diognosis, Cancer. Due to exxesive smoking. You feel all bad because you know if you hadnt smoked chances are this would not have happened.
So a couple of months down the line you are in your deathbed and one day...3....2...1....flatline. After youre gone you reach those old pearly gates of heaven, youve been a good person all your life never done any evil. And God says."Youre going to hell" You cannot believe what you are hearing. The reason Gad says "suicide" You wonder what he means by this and you are in total disbelief.
So the bottom line is, If suicide is punishable by going to hell.....Would God send us there if your Choice of starting to smoke led to your death. Therefore would God deem this as suicide.

Well, I don't thinnk that you can consider smoking as suicide since you don't kill yourself on purpose.
You can smoke and nothing is ever gonna happen or you can smoke and you will die within two years. And smoking is not the only factor which kills you for sure.
Oh and by the way, you can not say what god would do. Never.
God moves in mysterious ways.
I'm a agnostic and I say that you can't even be sure that something like hell, god, heaven etc. exists.
You can not be sure that it doesn't exist, too.
But in my opinion praising god is nonessential.
Imagine:
We are the humans and god is a huge guy ruling our life.
Now imagine you are a guy playing with ants.
They praise you but you don't even notice that.
You could kill them all or help them but the ant's prayer won't ever reach you .
That's my opinion.

Well, i think a sucide is only a suicide if you kill yourself or make someone killing you om purpose because you don't want to live anymore.
I think it wouldn't be a suicide if someone tells you have to kill yourself or he/she will kill you family.
Smoking is not what I consider as suicide, but that does not mean that it is not bad.
Maybe god punishes smokers (if god exists) as well.
Maybe god smokes for himself (if god exists).
Who knows?
