Yo,
I just downloaded the game (it looks great)
but everytime I start it up,it says SDL_app in the top corner, not Toribash. Then a pop-up says toribash.exe has stopped working... I've tried downloading it again and it has the same issue.

I've tried alot, like disk-defragment, so please give advice on how to sort it.

You have to wait a bit, then it will fix it self.
The same thing happens to me, i start it up, it stops working for 30 seconds,
then it's back to life. That, or the graphics are too high. I guess.

This may be a problem with toribash attempting to load its graphics upon startup. If your computer or graphics card cannot handle this, toribash does not have a contingency measure and may simply crash on you.

I would recommend that you simply wait and see if toribash can sort itself out. If it cannot, here is another potential solution.

Go into your toribash folder, and find the file "default.cfg." Find where it says shaders, ambient occlusion, and soft shadows. Backspace the 1 next to these items and replace them with a 0. This will boot toribash with the lower graphics and should allow it to load more easily.

IMPORTANT NOTE: make a backup of default.cfg BEFORE attempting to edit it. If you make a typo your toribash will not be able to properly view its settings and will give you errors.

If this still does not solve the problem, please provide a screenshot and I will attempt to guide you from there. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice, but how do you edit a CFG file?
I know, it's a stupid question but I'm quite new to PC gaming (if you can't tell)

That's a perfectly reasonable question, sorry for not including the answer. You'll want to right click the file, select "open with" and then choose notepad or textedit, depending on if you're on windows or mac.

yeah, so can you check that if it's right? I can't see what's wrong with it.

You may want to try reinstalling toribash, or updating your graphics drivers.
