Act I
Once upon a time, there was an infant left on the steps of a small temple that set upon a mountain. The child had a small red flower with a note next to it.
The note said "This child is all i have left in this world, but i cannot take care of her. Please raise her as if she were your own"
The priest who found her took her in and begun to raise her, giving her the name "Akane"
Some years later when the child reached 12 years old, the priest told her she wasn't his, she was so shocked and ran away to a near by forest down the mountain.
This was her favorite place to go because of the madder plants. She always loved the dark red colors made from the roots, and would always use them to paint with.
Act II
Several years past and the young woman learned to accept the priest as her father after he told her the truth. The priest was know to the village below the mountain not only as a priest, but a great warrior. The priest began training Akane which she was young, so she already had some skill with martial arts. But the priest told her that there was another step in her training.
He told her about another temple the mountains east of their own. There is said to be a mystical well their which is the gateway to the spirit world, and anyone who would drink the water from this well could gain total awareness.
She agreed to go on the journey to gain awareness in all things and to be his successor to the guardian of the temple. During this journey, she was required to wear a hood and never to remove it for reasons unknown.
She left the temple soon after and began her journey to the temple in the east.
Act III
1 month past and Akane was near her goal of reaching the temple. During her journey thus far, she met many people and had several enlightening experiences.
Though she felt homesick, because she never left the temple for this long before.
She reached the base of the mountain and could see old broken stairs up and around the mountain.
Halfway up the mountain she came across an old village. The people there were very sick, poor and scared. She confronted them and asked why their village was so poor, it turned out they have been slaved by bandits to grow their rice and other foods.
Akane was outraged by this and took it upon her self to find these bandits and kill them. She asked where they were hinding and the villagers responded "Up the path, in the old temple on top of the mountain".
She quickly trekked up the path to meet the bandits in combat. Several bandits camped around and in the temple awaited her, she jumped into the middle of them, taking them out with skills taught to her by her master.
After defending over 50 bandits, wounded and tired, she limped towards the well, only to find it was now filled with blood from her battle. She looked in the dark red color, as it gave her nostalgia for her home.
Near passing out, she leans down to take a drink of the blood filled water. AS soon as her hand touches the water, the water purifies and becomes crystal clear, she takes a hand full and sips it slightly as knowledge flows into her. She then realizes that these templates are what guards her land from evil, and becomes the new master of said temple. She goes on to form a small elite clan to train guardians to protect er land and anyone from evil.
1000's of years have past, and we, the descendants of these warriors carry on her legacy and the priest, we are the Akane, the protectors.
