Most people are poor because they refuse or are too lazy to do anything about their money problems. Some people were too arrogant to do anything in High School and got into drugs or other bad things which probably didn't help. People that are rich are that way because they made it happen. They worked for their money. If we were to give money to the poor and divide it all evenly, I'm pretty sure a lot of people would somehow lose it again, spend it on more drugs and alcohol, use it unwisely, etc. If money was to be divided evenly, why would people be able to do nothing and still gain the same as someone who works every day?
If you want money, you have to apply yourself and work for it, you can't just expect to have it for doing nothing.
So no, things should stay how they are.
On the other hand, people that have to live in countries like Africa and stuff do have to face these consequences and there isn't much they can do about it. Whether you believe it or not, people do actually donate a lot of money to these causes. It would be stupid to force people to pay money though, that just doesn't make any sense.
By the way, I come from a poor family, and I still think this is a terrible idea.
