Definition of CP art in Toribash?
Hello,

I had a little argument with one of my peers. He has that sorta high definition head, but I noticed it looks kinda wierd and I asked him is that a c/p? And he said: no! what are you talking about? But then he also said for me to PM the artist for the source image

So my question is: if the set heavily uses source images, which is chopped and cropped and flipped and maybe some color filter applied a little bit... Isn't it still a c/p set?
Yes.

Anything cropped and made to fit for a texture piece is c/p, imo.
I turned off the light at the end of the tunnel.
In order of lesser evils:
1. you get redrawing, which is simply redrawing while looking at a source image.
2. then you get tracing, which is just drawing over the source image, but not using the actual source image in the final piece.
3. then you get CP, which is putting the image, or elements of the image, onto the texture and mostly calling it finished.

all 3 ways are fine, if used correctly, so long as the original artist is credited.
if the original artist is not credited, then it may be used, but not sold.
making profit off someone elses work is where we draw the line and call plagiarism.
