I usually just stay in game and find people in my level. If that doesn't work, go join a clan or a social organization. That's how I got to know players that are way above my skill level.

if u want to get some friend go join a clan or something or make a funny mod server in TB , that would help you in game and get some friends :}

You can also try saying random shit on the chat. I made 2 new wushu pals from that. Just go ask MudJad (assuming he remembers the random shit I posted on the wushu server)
