My friend wants to buy TC with his USD but neither of us know the rate of tc at the moment. So how much TC can someone get for 1 USD? I know the rate used to be like 20k or something and I've recently seen threads around 10-13k but what is like a standard rate for right now?

I've seen a lot of threads around 10k. Depending on whether you buy or sell you'll get a higher or lower price (9k - 11k)

Um yeah, rate is actually 10k. Some months ago there was a little shortage of TC / sellers, so I could sell some at 9.5k rate (? I think ?) but now it requires you to go 10k rate and probably cheaper to sell TC. 11k rate for a rather quick sell of TC.

It changes quite often.

The general rate is $1=10k. If you're buying, you can usually buy for that rate if there are plenty of sellers around.

If you're selling, you can sell it for that rate as long as there are plenty of buyers. And lately, there have been an extreme abundance of buyers.

Right now, you can buy or sell for 10k=$1 pretty much. The market is pretty nice atm.

and that $1=10k is only because users seem to think that's a decent price. in reality the price should be lower since it was $1=10k in 2008 when there was a lot less tc in circulation
