Hey so, I don't know much about the elo/mod rank system and usually don't pay much attention to it, but my mod rank recently kept on going up while I was winning (lower mod rank is "better" for anyone unfamiliar with the system). Is this normal? Albeit, I was playing against green/blue belts. But it seems odd that my rank would go up (Or elo would go down) if I won. I'm not expecting an increase, but an elo penalty on win is pretty odd.

do not care about rank, but elo. your rank goes after the elo, and if you have lost a lot of elo, you may lose rank for a while

Rank system works on this way ; from wins you get better rank and more points , if you have more points then the other player but he has a higher rank, you just steal his rank, thats why ranks keep changing.

A possible explanation is that someone is playing the mod while you are, in a different room. So the competition around you has a higher MMR, giving you the illusion that winning is hurting you.

Ultimately, keep streaking and your rank will go up
