When I start/click on the game icon on my desktop I get a error message saying:

"C:\Games\Toribash-4.7\toribash.exe

The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail."

Can someone tell me how to fix this?

Try re-installing the game. Let me know if that fix's it.

If still not working , Download new setup.
Do you use third party program to download the setup? They usually fuck up with the data.

Side by side config error? That's easy to sort providing your system files aren't knackered.

You need Visual C++ runtimes & you've either got none at all, or the files are corrupt.

Go dig on the Microsoft website, get the latest c++ runtimes, install them, reboot, cross fingers. If that doesn't cure it then your OS install needs a lot of TLC.

I have tried re-installing it like HerobrineDead and Trocher3 Said and I also tried what SkulFuk said but it still wont work.

That tells me there's something badly wrong with your OS install so long as you did get the runtimes & install them.

You can try to cure it, or wipe & reinstall. The latter generally being the better option; whichever you chose it's something you may as well get out the way now since it'll affect more than TB & it'll only get worse.

If you want to have a go at fixing it then you need to open up a command prompt & coax Windows into looking for problems.

Prod your start button and run CMD.
- If you're on XP then just use the run option on the start menu
- Vista/7/8 type it in the search box, then wait for it to find it, right click the program in the list & run as admin (if you don't run as admin it wont actually fix anything)

Once you've got the command prompt in front of you type SFC /SCANNOW and jab your enter key. That'll make Windows look at all it's system files & if it's able to, it'll fix them.

The fixing option isn't 100% guaranteed to work however.

SkulFuk said something about your OS install. By any chance is your OS a torrented/pirated version of Windows in which it isn't acting as it should? Perhaps there is conflicted coding an such that wasn't properly installed and therefore is leading to corruption. I'm not a Windows genius so I'm sorry if this made no sense and was totally wrong. I'm a Mac person.

I do not know what really happened but it works now.
