I've just returned after a long toribash break, and I noticed a whole lot of new colors. So I was checking them all out in the ingame shop feature. Once I was done, I pressed escape and went to freeplay mode. Immediately when I clicked the "Freeplay" button, the torishop opened in my browser and thanked me for purchasing my items.
I ended up spending around 35,000 credits on items that I didn't want.

It may be glitched, but if you are 100‰ sure that you didnt click buy you may have a chance to get your tc back, try contacting some one

I definitely didn't press buy. I clicked the try button, but the transaction didn't occur until I pressed escape from the shop, then freeplay.It never prompted me about the purchase.

I find it highly unlikely that the store somehow managed to buy things for your account without you knowing. Are you certain you were clicking "Try" instead of "Buy"? I don't think I've ever heard of this occuring before and I use the Torishop to view colors as well. Do you have the beta versions of Toribash or older outdated ones? That could be a bug...

I pressed try on a few items to see how they look, then quit the shop api. After that I clicked free play. That's all that I clicked. It must be a bug. Unless there's no prompt.

What item did you buy?

Found the bug, such thing happens when you click "BUY" and enter main menu as lua script only closes when the new game has started. "Confirm" button has the exact place of "Free Play" button so they're both getting clicked :/
Will fix it tomorrow, not sure if that'd be updated in standalone Toribash 4.8 client though (but Steam one won't have it).

Yes, but not until you tell me what to refund.

andyson776, I stand corrected. I apologize for doubting your claim. I guess it really was possible to buy items without actually wanting to. Also, I'm pretty sure sir will get you your refund when the time comes.
