Compatability issues ARRGGGHHHH!
*angervent*
So, I got Portal today. When I first installed it, the annoying Steam had to update itself, fine and all except the fact I'm using dial-up. Then I try to play Portal itself, and it trys to update itself before I can even play it. I try disabling the autoupdate, and it doesn't do anything. So I sit through the long update process. Finally, it's 100% ready to be played. I launch it. I start the first level. Everything's going fine until I walk through the first portal. Boom, Bang, Crash! Out of frustration, I start Googling what could be the problem, I find out that it's my shitty Intel graphics card. I look at some official Steam articles which list a few fixes that may help. I try them both, I still crash at the first portal. Then I /wrist'd quite alot. I spent $20 dollars and half a day downloading shit on dial-up for nothing. /wrist /wrist /wrist
Laugh at my expense. DO IT NAOGH. *fires shot*

Are you telling me that you tried running something with well >Half-Life 2 graphics (not to mention processor requirements) with what is most probably an integrated card? If this thread stands for anything whatsoever, it's that you should always check minimum requirements and whatnot before getting something...
"Call yourself alive? I promise you you'll be deafened by dust falling on the furniture,
you'll feel your eyebrows turning to two gashes, and your shoulder blades will ache for want of wings."
The game ran at a good framerate, I had the requirements(yes the ones that are labeled on the top of the box), it's an actual compatability issue, not my graphics card not being able to handle it. Intel was suppose to be working out a fix for it, but I guess that never came around.

yay with a low graphic card you can't play these games.....try Microsoft games like Minesweeper,Pinball...Paint...Microsoft Word...(there you can write with and to yourself xD) ....

Nice job reading that ^ Shazikuro.
Now you have chance number two to read it.

Do it.
