I've searched the threads and so far there has yet to be a solution to this that works.

When I first installed the latest version of Toribash, it ran somewhere between 9 and 12 FPS. I've cleaned up my hard drive, installed the latest drivers for my video card, and made sure that nothing but Toribash was running. After doing all that, it ran at about 60 FPS for about 30 seconds before going back to 9-12 FPS.

Using the Game Engine to slow the game down showed an increase of my frame rate, but the lag was unaffected. The screen resolution has had no impact on the lag either. Is there something I'm missing here?

Turn Shaders off

The fan in your video card is busted maybe I got that and found out that my graphics card fan was bent half way out making it impossible to work. I got a new one and I got up to 60 fps constant. I advise a 8600 if you system is compatibal{I know fail when spelling words bigger than 8} with it. I have a 8600 Gforce Silent and I get 40-60 with all the shaders on.

That doesn't really help much. Turning off the shaders is one of the first things I tried. My video card is working fine, and I'm not having problems with anything else running. Its just toribash that lags.

The recent version of Toribash has been a bit more laggy than other versions. Maybe you are just more effected by it.

Was there the same result with other versions?

What is your PC specs? I got a really slow computer so slow it could not run shaders but can also be slow as 0 fps.
