Let's talk economy! (and how it might collapse?)
An economy depending on unsustainable resources is bound to collapse. We are SUPER dependant on the Oil industry nowadays, what happens when we run out?Likewise for many other energy sources we use today such as : our forests, we can't continue cutting down trees at this rate.

I think there's a lot of room for improvement in this area like encouraging more self-sustaining lifestyles in the world instead of the government cracking down on people trying to be apart of the solution. See here: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DQHVCOT4PPw

These are the facts (if we don't change our ways)

-The world’s rain forests could completely vanish in a hundred years at the current rate of deforestation.

-We estimate that world oil and gas production from existing fields is declining at an average rate of about 4 to 6 percent a year. To meet projected demand in 2015, the industry will have to add about 100 million oil-equivalent barrels a day of new production. That's equal to about 80 percent of today's production level. In other words, by 2015, we will need to find, develop and produce a volume of new oil and gas that is equal to eight out of every 10 barrels being produced today. In addition, the cost associated with providing this additional oil and gas is expected to be considerably more than what industry is now spending.

I can keep going forever but let me hear your thoughts.

Well for the USA, Obama has fucked us. 3+ trillion dollars in debt since he got in office, and he is trying to take away our guns.

i miss you ocean
President* Obama has not done anything of the sort.
He has put us in no more debt than Bush did, and definitely not 3 trillion.
Gun laws were justified, if not exactly supported.
He could have made them an executive order, and didn't. So there you go.
goodbye cruel world
It's not just a problem in the United States however, it's a global problem which affects us all in the long run.
Obama? More like the Drone King lol. In all honesty Bush started this mess, wish we had good ol' Abe right now.

I disagree with the gun laws, but good on him for not acting like a dictator, right?

Just a side note: by the year 2018 the US ALONE will be in over 20 trillion dollars in national debt. How the hell can that ever be paid back? Who wins at the end of the day? You guessed it; corporations! Which all ties in to my argument above, Profit is overriding morality and mere common sense and our planet is suffering for it. (not to mention people too)

How exactly is that a win for corporations?

Well remember, they're not the nation itself, plus being worldwide it doesn't affect them at all just suck a country's people dry and move on to the next.

If the USA collapses, the global ramifications are immense. Any company based in, trading in, has suppliers or customers in the US will be affected.

Look at the effects of the GFC, every country was affected, and some are just recovering even now. That was only a minor blip compared to a complete collapse/

What you are saying is just not possible.
