Is Toribash Considered a logical game?
So,I have been thinking lately
many people have stopped playing Toribash,because
they got "bored" or they just bluntly said it is too hard to comprehend.
In my opinion moving joints and planning your next move out and trying
to counter whatever your opponent wants to do within a short time,is kind of the same idea behind chess,you must use your brain to know what to contract relax, hold and to win you must come up With a strategy to win more constantly.

So let me know what you think.

a logical game... In my opinion, toribash has its own stupid logic. It does require some brain work. Yes, Toribash is somewhat like a game of chess. That's a good question sir.
Chickster: I literally don't know why I did it.
Play wushu, always come back (even if leading). That requires planning, brainwork, and a deep understanding of how your tori moves. There's a lot of luck involved in Toribash, but you can turn the tides in your favour with enough skill.
is it considered? yes
is it? maybe if you're learning how to be good at it. most experienced players just use past experience to learn what to do in every situation they face

Pusga-- That is very true,but if they are using past experience to fight
they are thinking about the past and previous game experiences that is a logical train of thought
that they are using.Just like chess experience players use their experience to win.


so Toribash is not the most logical game,and yes you can use logic to
win and to get into your opponent's mind by tricking them and using the famous
Reverse Psychology.

So lets extend (Pun intented xD) the matter to the Forum
here are some of my poins concerning the forum
*Using logic to bargain.
*We use Logic, when we are using the limited Html coding given to us to make our text fancy looking.
*When we sell,we are marketing.
*When we leave an application for a position or group we,use logic to appeal to them.

Dont forget I am just enlarging what logic in Toribash could be not just in-game.

what i meant is that once you use logic to achieve an optimal solution, you will use that optimal solution again in the future many times. for example, you don't have to learn how to ride a bike every time you want to ride your bike. your learn it once and ride your bike as many times as you want

Chess has certain famous moves both defensive and offensive as does toribash, however, toribash lets you move all the pieces at once at the same time as the opponent so you need to learn to predict your opponents movement a little more at times. The problem with moving all the pieces is that too much can happen and you can lose despite realising the two likely moves your opponent will make because you guessed he would do the wrong one. In such situations it is hard to apply skill or experience because the opponent has all the control and you can't cover all the bases (even if some moves defend against more than others.) and it results in educated guesswork. Your save will be impeccable but your opponent will throw you to the left rather than the right. The main situation I feel this in is when I am being lifted in abd (not the commonly demonised out of dojo lifting, just being held in the air with no way to get your feet back on the ground unless your opponent wants you to). I find that when playing and I make moves without thinking so much a lot of the time. I do it by instinct from experience untill a critical moment where I focus and start weighing out the possibilities and probabilities of each move I could make, I believe that this is the time the game is best, you have a degree of control, a sense of momentum and balance and you need to think about both yourself and your opponent rather than one or the other. Sorry for rambling.

To be honest, I can't think if any argument to say it isn't logical, it involves planning and awareness of cause and effect (although the ghost helps a lot sometimes) and awareness of probabilities. It would be more logical if there were no ghosts in some mods, but this game is challenging enough for beginners as it is.

As for the forum, it depends what you are doing, discussion often requires a lot of logic and marketing common sense, but off topic is just socialising and clan applications are just simple writing.

Something to add to the list is betting and duelling, there is a discussion to be had about luck vs. experience in bet profits.

I think it doesn't become to repetitive the better you are. I think there's much that can happen that it forces you to think.

It requires you to think, learn the joints and what they do, plus keeps you alert. But Toribash takes it to a certian degree that it's not completely logical. But is more logical than many games that claim to be logical.
