I have recently picked up graphic design (I'm still not very good, but I only started 2 days ago), and would love some tips from all of the great artists in the TB community.
I pretty much exclusively use Photoshop CS6 Extended. I make some things in Adobe Flash as well.
Please give me constructive criticism on anything I post, and if you know some tips for Photoshop, please let me know. It is very appreciated.
So here is what I have done so far. I will list them in chronological order according to when I made them (top = first, bottom = last).
First Header (Made for myself, very simplistic)
Made for a friend (Free)
Made for my 1st client ($3). Also the space at the top and bottom is meant to be there. Twitter cuts off a bit of the top and bottom of headers.
First template I made. Green space theme.
Similar style to the last one. Different font, red space theme.
Most recent template. This style (black and white background, tight lettering) is very popular in the CoD comunity so I thought I'd take a crack at it.
Made a new header for myself (really proud of this one)
Here is another banner with my alias on it (KreeKy), but I'm not going to use it. This was my first try at 3D lettering, just to test it out.
Edited version of "Made a new header for myself". Simplified.

If you make youtube banners pm asap.
The only comment I have is to find a font that will connect with the background image better.
If you have a space background with some nice rainbow colors thing of a cute font... you get the point.
Good text placement for the "(really proud of this one)" one. The turtle is cute.
All around, I give you art a 8/10 because work needs to be done of some of these just a bit more.
Oh and make sure you work on the extra blank space you have have in some areas.

Like I said in the beginning of the post, the CoD community has a very specific style that people consider genuine. This rules out "cute" fonts. I get what you mean, though. Thank you.
And I haven't done a YT banner yet, but I could if I had the dimensions. PM me.

too many colors, gross white text and font
there was nothing "simplistic" about it
different logos with a bunch of different styles, if one has a white stroke, i'd say make them all have it

Edit: Actually just edited that banner and I think it looks better now. Took off all of the unnecessary stuff. Let me know how they compare, guys.

Edit: Made a logo. If you can't tell, it's a "C" and a "G" which are my initials. I'm planning on making multiple versions of it with the full name and everything later. I also might possibly add a radial gradient. Let me know what you guys think.
