So I'm replacing my old hard drive in my Macbook pro, I'm thinking of getting a SSD like this. But I want to know what you guys thought? I want a 256gb SSD that's fast and won't degrade too fast. Also it has to be 2.5'' to fit in my laptop.

Evos are fine. They used to have a firmware problem that made them degrade really fast, but you just have to download the "Samsung performance restoration program" and run it once and it will fix the problem.

So long as you do that as soon as you get it, then it will be fine. Maybe download Samsung Magic and turn on over provisioning too if you are concerned about lifespan.
