You're probably missing some files or are using a GUI texture. Maybe you could reinstall from toribash.com or steam for the extra files you need.

it happened for me 1 time
just when i entered a room
it started to appear randomly
the only way to fix it is leaving that room
idk about u, but it worked for me

If the issue persists, update the graphics drivers or reinstall the game. I had this and it persisted for about a week before I got bored of guessing where the text was and did both of those.
I'm a game developer for other games.
